Today was incredible.
God showed us that it truly is not by our might nor power, but by His Spirit. Our speaker system died within seconds during our first drama at the beginning of the day. The team finished the drama without any music. A large crowd gathered anyway. We used our voices to shout present the gospel, just like Jesus did way back when. Many people responded. For our second drama, we rented a tricycle with an attached megaphone from a guy selling cookies for $20. We used his system to amplify our voices and the music. I was really proud of our kids for giving their best under crazy circumstances.
Later in the day we did more ministry sites throughout Lima. We get a police escort everywhere. They close down streets for us to do the drama. They watch out for us during it. One site gathered over 200 people in just a few minutes. People here are more open to respond to the gospel. Later in the evening we did a mini crusade. Pastor Jake spoke and was as bold as a lion! The anointing was incredible. People were saved and healed, with specific testimonies of healing on stage. One thing we as leaders are believing God for is a demonstration of His power…in such a way that will give our students a fresh revelation of Him. He is not a God from a history book. He is alive today. They saw that tonight.
The students are doing well. Some aches here and there, tylenol for headaches, bruised knees…standard stuff. Our schedule is PACKED. We got up at 6a and today we returned to our rooms to check out for the night at 11:15p. But hey, it’s all worth it. God’s love compels us to give our all. To give our very best. Please continue to pray.
Much love, Milan.
